The Blendometer application is a bespoke short-term mine planning tool.  It is used at the start of each shift to schedule underground trucking activities.  The start time and duration of each activity is displayed on a gant-style chart.  The activities can be dragged along the chart to adjust their start times and/or duration.  The duration can also be calculated by entering the number of tonnes to be moved in which case the number of trucks being used and the expected journey time are combined to calculate the total time required. 

An important feature of the software is that the grade of the material being delivered to the underground crusher is automatically tracked. The average grade of the material is displayed graphically and the schedule of tasks can be altered so that the correct blend of material is maintained.

The completed schedule and accompanying charts can then be emailed to the relevant personnel.
