GeoBASys is a application for displaying, editing
and manipulating drillhole data. It includes unique
compositing algorithms for generating 'economic' ore zones based
on mining criteria. GeoBASys is particularly effective for
interactively editing down-hole composites.
GeoBASys was first developed in 1992
and was adopted by several mining and exploration companies.
It formed the basis specification of Datamine's
Downhole Explorer application,
however, Downhole Explorer does not include the compositing
algorithms nor is it as useful for editing drillhole data.
GeoBASys uses ODBC to link to your existing
drillhole database in, for example, MS Access. Ordinarily,
there is no need to transfer your data to another format.
