The
HARP software was developed for Lisheen Mine, Ireland. The
application is used to record the availability of the various
active headings in the mine. This information is automatically
added to an ODBC database so that reports can be generated for
the relevant personnel.
The database stores records containing information about the
availability of each heading. Whenever a change is made to the
status of a heading a new record is added to the database and
the date and time that the change was made is stored. Similarly,
sets of records containing the headings’ resource data and other
information are also stored. When the database is viewed using
the HARP software the most recent records are combined and are
displayed as a table. The historical data, i.e. the earlier
records, can also be displayed.
Each heading can be linked to external files (e.g. plans and
photographs) which can be quickly accessed using menu items,
hotkeys etc.
A predefined set of reports can be generated using HARP.
These are produced in HTML format. Custom designed reports can
also be produced using third party software e.g. MS Access.
As well as table views of the data, the headings can also be
displayed in plan and 3D views. The views are synchronised which
means that whichever heading is selected in one view becomes
selected in the other views.
